PenLog stores the medication, schedule, dose text, shots, symptoms, measurements, nutrition entries and settings you enter in a local SQLite database. No account is required. The app has no ads and does not sync health entries to a cloud service.
You choose progress photos from your library. Saved photos are copied to app storage on this device. Local reminders use notification permission and your schedule. Reminder messages do not include medication or dose values.
When you request a report, the app creates a PDF with the shots, symptoms and body values for your chosen period. The system share sheet sends it only to the destination you choose. The temporary report is removed after sharing ends. Copies saved or sent outside the app remain under your control.
Apple processes subscription and one-time purchase payments. When purchases are configured, RevenueCat receives purchase and subscription information with an anonymous app identifier to check access and restore purchases, including Lifetime. Your journal values and photos are not sent to RevenueCat.
If optional PostHog analytics is configured in a build, the app sends only allowlisted product-interaction events with app identifier, locale, plan and platform. PostHog assigns a device identifier and receives device and network information, including the IP address. Entered health values, notes and photos are excluded. These events are not used for advertising.
Delete all local data in Settings to remove this app’s entries, settings, copied progress photos, cached reports and scheduled reminders. This does not remove original library photos, reports you shared, system backups or purchase records held by Apple and RevenueCat. It does not cancel your subscription. Device backup behavior is controlled by your operating system.
